July 1st Cabin Trip 2023

Another classic cabin trip.

Liz and Zach arrived Friday afternoon and shuttled the groceries up into the cabin during the same 15 minutes of the only downpour of the weekend.

Once everyone arrived, Mikhail gave the Welcome / Safety speech while standing, as is tradition, on a rickety wooden chair.

On Saturday we went swimming at both Slab Town and in Georgian Bay where we met some very good dogs.

Upon returning to the cabin, it seemed the group hadn't had nearly enough physical activity and so embarked on a hike along the Bruce Trail.

After returning once again, watching the sunset, and having an absolutely delicious dinner, we had a campfire where we discussed Pink Elephants and what exactly is behind the Green Glass Door.

We had a very lazy Sunday, complete with sleeping in late, caving, games, and light painting.

The Monday holiday morning came all too soon and we started our journeys back to our usual urban-bound lives. This weekend escape was much appreciated.
