UTOC x Guelph Cabin Trip

It’s been a while thanks to COVID, but UTOC finally got to invite the U of Guelph outdoors club over for another cabin trip just like the good old days! Friday consisted mostly of the different carpools arriving (with the last UTOC car just before 10pm), a delicious burrito dinner, some chit chatting and a game of Mafia. People were a bit shy at first, but it didn’t take long for us all to warm up and excite ourselves for the wonderful weekend we had waiting for us at the cabin!

Some of the beautiful fall colours!

For those of us who arrived after dark on Friday, a beautiful fall scenery surprised us the next morning when it actually hit us that we were in a cabin in the middle of the woods. Saturday was quite eventful. There were groups heading out to explore the caves, with Mikhail enthusiastically leading each group through tight twists and turns with the help of his own version of the “telephone game”.

Another group went on a nice long hike consisting of getting lost a couple of times and walking past the same bridge at least 4 times. Some of us also headed to a necessary pitstop at the LCBO and enjoyed a cold dip in the lake. Chilly!
